Perfect design

Now I'm reading a book " The Blind Watchmaker ". This book is very very interesting, I wish to find answer in this book about mean of perfect design . How ? But now I just feel there is time as four billion years, and now we are standing on the one of later four billion years today,the history of life has very very long voyage itself.
